Mental Health

According to a survey report conducted by the Colchester Long-Term Recovery Committee during the late summer of 2020, more than 1 in 3 of the 1,000 respondents said they are struggling with stress, depression, and/or anxiety. About half of the open ended responses about the impacts of COVID-19 were about people struggling with mental health, isolation, and relationships.

The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged us in many ways. One of the areas hit hardest has been mental health. For those already coping with mental illness before the pandemic, recent events may have exasperated your symptoms, and for others, you may be experiencing anxiety and/or depression for the very first time.

Colchester is Kind created this page to serve as a hub of local mental health support for those struggling. There is no shame in needing help. We wanted to remove the barrier of locating mental health providers and support groups to give you the best chance at locating the resources you need.
