Colchester Youth and Social Services proudly offers the Colchester Community Closet. The closet is open to anyone in the local community who has a need for clothing. New and gently used clothing and shoes for children and adults are available at no cost.

Michelle Noehren, founder of Connecticut is Kind, is passionate about creating and sustaining kindness-focused communities. She is the leader of Colchester is Kind, a local community group, and formerly created and led the non-judgmental online community Connecticut Working Moms. She holds a master's degree in organizational psychology from the University of Hartford and focused her studies on how to develop positive workplace culture.
